Here's a couple of shots of a cotton field taken around late September or early October of 1997.  This field was located near my parent's house in Laurinburg, NC.  Most of the fields in the area had already been harvested so I was lucky to find this one in "full bloom".  At certain angles, a cotton field almost looks like a field of snow.  During harvesting, some of it is spilled along the highways and it looks exactly like snow.
